Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 or 8 firm green tomatoes, sliced in 1/4-inch circles
flour
cornmeal
salt and pepper
Preparation

Mix flour, meal, salt and pepper and dip the slices into this mixture, coating both sides generously.
Fry each slice until golden brown.
Place on paper towel to drain.
Ripe or nearly ripe tomatoes may be fried in the same way, but being juicier, may require more flour in the coating mix.
Bacon grease is the tastiest way to fry them.
