Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. white corn syrup
few grains salt
1/2 c. cream
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix white sugar, brown sugar, syrup and salt and cream together.
Cook to boiling point, stirring constantly.
Continue cooking over simmer same burner, stirring occasionally to 238\u00b0 or until few drops form a soft ball when dropped into cold water. Remove from heat.
Add butter; cool at temperature without stirring until lukewarm or until the hand can be held on bottom of pan.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Beat until candy will hold its shape.
Drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper.
Makes about 3 dozen.
