Special Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
    3 c. water
    1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1/3 c. chopped onions
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
    1 tsp. dried whole Italian seasoning
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Wash beans, trim ends and remove strings.
    Combine beans and water in Dutch oven.
    Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp to tender.
    Drain.
    Plunge beans in ice water to stop cooking process.
    Drain and set aside.
    Saute mushrooms and next 7 ingredients in oil in Dutch oven.
    Stir in beans and cook until thoroughly heated.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
