Old Fashioned Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
6 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients, cut in shortening; add milk and egg and mix only to dampen.
Roll out and cut or turn into an 8 inch cake pan and pat to 1 inch thickness.
Brush with melted butter. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Brush with butter again.
