Buttermilk Pecan Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, separated
    1 3/4 c. buttermilk
    6 Tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
    1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Beat egg yolks until light and lemon colored.
    Beat buttermilk into egg yolks.
    Add melted butter or margarine.
    Combine liquid and dry ingredients; do not overstir. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites; fold in pecans.
    Bake in a waffle iron.
