Paradise Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. coarsely chopped ripe pears
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    12 maraschino cherries, chopped
    1 orange, peeled and chopped
    6 c. sugar
    1/2 bottle liquid pectin
Preparation
    Cook pears in large pan for 3 minutes.
    Add next 4 ingredients and bring to boil.
    Stir in sugar.
    Bring to boil and boil hard for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in pectin. Stir for 5 minutes to cool slightly (to prevent fruit from floating).
    Ladle into jars.
    Makes 8 1/2 pints.
