Cabbage Patch Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 can tomatoes, mashed
    1 can kidney beans, with liquid
    1 can chili beans, with liquid
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 c. finely shredded cabbage
Preparation
    Put beef, onion, bell pepper and celery in a Dutch oven and steam covered
    over
    medium
    heat
    until meat turns white, breaking up meat with
    a
    fork as you stir occasionally.
    Meat may be mashed fine
    or\tleft
    in bite size chunks, as desired. Add tomatoes, beans, salt
    and\tpepper.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add cabbage, pushing it
    under\tliquid.
    Cover and simmer about 20 minutes.
    Adjust seasonings to your own taste.
    You can put in a can of Ro-Tel if you like your food spicy.
