Creamed Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 ears corn
    4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cut corn close to outer edge, cutting twice around ear.
    Scrape ear to remove all the milk.
    Have skillet warm; add drippings and corn.
    (Add water if too dry.)
    Stir constantly for a minute and add milk, salt, pepper and sugar.
    Simmer 15 minutes or until thickened.
    Watch and stir often.
    Add butter the last few minutes.
