Sweet Potato Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 c. sweet potatoes, mashed and chilled
    oil for deep frying
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and spices.
    In another bowl, combine the eggs and potatoes, then beat in the dry ingredient mixture to make a stiff dough.
    Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about a half inch.
    With a knife, cookie cutters or the rim of a glass, cut into shapes. Fry in deep fat for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Drain on clean, absorbent cloths.
