Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 stack pkg. saltine crackers
    2 cans mushroom soup
    salt and pepper
    butter or margarine
    1 large can French fried onion rings
Preparation
    Shred cabbage
    and cook in a small amount of water until tender.
    Drain.
    Heat mushroom soup and stir until creamy.\tPut 1/2 of
    cabbage in casserole dish;\ttop with 1/2 of soup, 1 cup cheese and\t1/2 of the crumbs.
    Put in remaining cabbage, soup, cheese and\tcrumbs\tin same manner.
    Dot with butter.
    Salt and pepper to
    taste.
    Top
    with
    onion rings.\tBake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
