Peach Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. firm fresh peaches
    1 pt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    4 sticks cinnamon
    3 lb. sugar (brown is good)
    1 pt. water
    2 Tbsp. cloves
Preparation
    Peel peaches into a solution of 1 gallon of water with 1 tablespoon salt and 2 tablespoons of vinegar.
    This will prevent discoloring of peaches.
