Homemade Penrose - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 hot dogs
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) bottle hot pepper sauce
Preparation
    Trim ends of hot dogs, then cut each into 4 or 5 pieces. Combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar and pepper sauce in saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Add hot dogs. Simmer, do not boil, for 30 minutes.
    Put in jar. Cover and let stand 2 to 4 days. Drain and serve.
    Makes 2 pounds.
