Everlasting Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. sugar
1 cake yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. whole milk with 1 c. hot water
7 c. flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Add 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Let stand while you cream fat, sugar and egg. Then add whole milk into which you have poured the hot water. When tepid, add yeast mixture, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and flour. Knead until smooth and let rise until double in size. Shape into rolls and let rise again. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes. This can be kept in refrigerator for a week.
