Cabbage Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head cabbage, shredded fine
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 beef round steak cubed (could substitute venison)
2 ham slices, cubed
2 lb. link sausage, sliced
1 pod hot pepper, seeds removed
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Fry meat in shortening, add onion.
Saute.
Add cabbage, cover with water, add pepper pod, cook until tender.
(Careful about adding too much water.)
