Toffee Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
4 oz. milk chocolate candy, broken into pieces
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Mix butter, vanilla and egg.
Press in pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until light brown.
Remove from oven.
Immediately place chocolate candy on baked layer.
Let stand until soft; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts.
Cut into about 2 x 1-inch bars while warm. Makes 4 dozen bars.
