Yogurt - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    2 tsp. gelatin
    1 Tbsp. starter yogurt
    1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    flavoring (optional)
Preparation
    Heat milk to almost boiling (180\u00b0) to kill undesirable bacteria.
    Add gelatin, which has been soaked in 1/4 cup water. Add sugar and flavoring, if desired.
    Cool to lukewarm; a little warmer is better.
    Add a level tablespoon leftover yogurt for starter.
    Bought yogurt may be used, but usually works slower. Set in warm place until thick.
    Three to 4 hours makes the mildest yogurt.
    Whip with beater and refrigerate.
    Serve with fruit.
