Grits With Cream And Cheese - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. grits (quick)
2 c. heavy cream
2 or 3 Tbsp. butter
salt and white pepper (optional)
1/2 c. freshly grated cheese (Swiss or Monterey Jack)
Preparation

Place grits and cream in a heavy saucepan (stirring). Cook grits according to package directions, using cream instead of water.
Stir often and do not let burn.
If grits start to get lumpy, add a little water to keep them creamy.
When cooked, remove from heat and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add butter and then stir in cheese. Can be reheated in microwave.
