Self-Filled Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/4 oz.) pkg. chocolate cake mix
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions on the box.
    Use paper liners in muffin tins and fill half full.
    Mix cream cheese with sugar, egg and salt.
    Add nuts and chocolate chips.
    Drop a teaspoon of this mixture into each batter-filled paper liner.
    Bake according to package directions.
    Freezes well.
