Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. water
    4 sq. semi or unsweetened chocolate
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt margarine in 2-quart pan over low heat.
    Remove.
    Add sugar until blended.
    Return to low heat.
    Stir rapidly until thoroughly mixed and begins to bubble.
    Add water and corn syrup. Stir frequently; cook until thermometer reads 290\u00b0, brittle, about 15 to 20 minutes.
    Remove from heat at once.
    Sprinkle in nuts, quickly mix.
    Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Cool at room temperature.
    As crunch cools loosen from sheet with spatula, 2 to 3 times.
