Hamburg Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    5 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/3 c. pearl barley
    2 Tbsp. beef bouillon granules or 2 beef cubes
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1 tsp. basil
    1 bay leaf
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 carrots, sliced
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1/4 c. catsup
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions.
    Drain off grease.
    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer at least 2 hours or longer (covered).
