Brandied Sweet Potatoes(Serves 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium sweet potatoes
    2/3 c. brown sugar (light)
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. white raisins
    1/4 c. cognac or apricot brandy
    1/4 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Boil sweet potatoes, unpeeled, until barely soft, about 15 minutes.
    Drain and cool.
    Peel and slice potatoes.
    Arrange slices in a greased glass baking dish (don't stack them).
