Yellow Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash, sliced
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, grated
Preparation
    Cook squash until tender.
    Mash and measure 1 cup.
    Add egg to squash and mix well.
    Add onion.
    Combine dry ingredients and add to squash mixture.
    Drop by tablespoon into hot oil.
    Cook until golden brown.
    Turn once.
    Drain on paper towel.
