Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    4 Tbsp. flour
    pinch of salt
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 to 1 c. coconut
    1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add flour and salt; gradually add milk to mixture.
    Cook in double boiler until thickened.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and coconut.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue and bake for 5 minutes.
