1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. corn syrup
2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 baked pie shell (large)
Preparation

Combine 1 cup brown sugar, water, butter and corn syrup.
Cook until a small amount forms a soft ball in cold water.
Scald milk. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, cornstarch and flour.
Mix well. Add scalded milk and cook for 15 minutes or until thick and smooth.
Pour in beaten egg yolks and cook for 1 minute longer. Add butterscotch mixture.
Pour into baked shell and cover with meringue and brown.
