Almond Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. quick rolled oats
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and extracts.
    Beat well.
    Add oats.
    Stir and let stand while sifting flour and soda together. Add to oat mixture; mix well.
    Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    Do not overcook; bake about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 6 to 7 dozen.
