Oatmeal Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 c. milk, scalded
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. quick oats, uncooked
Preparation
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
    Pour scalded milk, butter, sugar and salt.
    Stir until butter melts.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Beat in egg and add 1 cup flour to milk mixture.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Stir in yeast, then remaining flour and oats. Cover.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Beat down and put in greased loaf pan.
    Let rise, then bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
