Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 young fryer
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    4 c. water
    salt
    1 1/4 sticks oleo
Preparation
    Cut chicken in serving pieces.
    Salt chicken lightly.
    Spread rice over bottom of greased pan.
    Dilute mushroom soup with water. Add onion soup and mix well.
    Put chicken over rice.
    Then pour soup mixture over chicken and rice.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
