Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
    1 1/3 cup of sugar
    1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
    3 (16 ounce) cans of red tart cherries, undrained
    1/4 teaspoon almond extract
    few drops of red food coloring
    2 tablespoons of butter
    sugar for sprinkling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0. Prepare pastry. Mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Stir in cherries, extract and food coloring. Pour into a pastry pie plate. Dot with butter. Cover with the top crust seal and flute the edges. Make several slits in top of cake. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until crust is brown.
