Rolled Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 small egg
1/4 to 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Cut shortening into flour and salt.
Beat egg and add to dry ingredients.
Add enough milk to make a soft dough.
Knead.
Roll dough paper-thin.
Let set 15 or 20 minutes to dry a little.
Cut into 3 inch lengths by 1 1/2 inches.
Drop into boiling chicken broth.
Cover and simmer 15 or 20 minutes.
