Pink Peppermint Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans (1 2/3 c. each) evaporated milk
    2 tsp. peppermint extract
    red food coloring
    1 bottle (12 oz.) chilled ginger ale
    2 pt. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Combine milk, extract and food coloring.
    Chill well.
    Just before serving, stir in ginger ale and 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream until ice cream is melted.
    Place a scoop of ice cream in each punch cup and add peppermint punch to fill.
    Makes 18 one-half cup servings.
