Mom'S Apple Swirl Cobbler - cooking recipe

1/2 c. margarine
2 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. finely chopped apples
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Melt margarine in pan (Corning Ware 12 x 12-inch square pan). Heat water and sugar in a saucepan until dissolved.
Make pie crust.
Roll out in rectangular shape.
Peel, core and chop apples finely.
Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
Spread apples over pie crust.
Start at one end, roll pie crust and apples into a roll and cut in 1/2-inch thick slices.
Place in pan of melted margarine. Pour sugar water over slices.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
