Apple Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. chopped, raw apples
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and egg.
Add sifted dry ingredients. Add hot water, vanilla, apple and nuts.
Grease pie pan and add mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream or enjoy plain.
