Fabulous Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. white syrup
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oleo or butter
    1o to 12 oz. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2 to 2-quart heavy saucepan add white sugar, white syrup and water.
    Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, until it reaches 235\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Add oleo or butter and peanuts.
    Continue boiling and stir constantly until it reaches 300\u00b0 on thermometer.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda. Stir well, but do not overbeat, it will foam up some and you want this texture.
    Pour onto two well-greased cookie sheets.
    Cool, crack and enjoy!!!
