Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef stew
    1 onion
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    3 carrots, diced
    oil
    1/2 can Hunt's tomato sauce
    2 or 3 potatoes, diced
    1 Tbsp. parsley (optional)
    pinch of garlic powder
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil, put in diced beef pieces and garlic. Brown until onion and beef are tender.
    Add tomato sauce and about 1 1/2 cups of water, also the parsley, salt and pepper.
    Cook about 1/2 hour over a low heat.
    Add chopped celery and carrots and diced potatoes.
    Simmer for about another hour or until vegetables are tender.
