Date Fingers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. broken pecan meats
    1 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix dates, sugar and butter in saucepan.
    Cook over low heat 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies. Scoop mixture with tablespoon.
    Roll in coconut and shape like fingers.
    Makes 3 dozen.
