Portuguese Roast Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef or sirloin tips
    1 small onion
    1 garlic clove
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. beer
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 tsp. red pepper
    1 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
    6 or more potatoes, peeled and cut in halves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 500\u00b0.
    Wash and cut meat into serving pieces. Chop onion and garlic.
    Put all ingredients in roasting pan and mix together.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Lower heat to 350\u00b0 and continue to cook for 1 more hour, until tender.
