Sweet Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck cucumbers, not peeled
    12 medium onions
    2 green peppers
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
    7 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind together cucumbers, onions and peppers, then add 1 handful of salt.
    Let set overnight.
    Drain and add the rest of ingredients.
    Cook slowly 1/2 hour.
    Put in jars and seal.
    Yields about 15 to 20 pints.
