Don'S Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. soft oleo
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light syrup
    12 slices pineapple, drained
    1 yellow cake mix
    maraschino cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Blend oleo, sugar and syrup together.
    Pour into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Arrange pineapple and cherries on the syrup mixture and heat in oven 15 minutes.
    Mix cake according to package directions.
    (I use the pineapple juice for the liquid). After 15 minutes, remove pan from oven and pour cake batter on slowly.
    Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until cake is done.
    Invert immediately.
