French Fancies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup margarine
    3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    maraschino cherries (drained)
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Blend in vanilla.
    Add flour and salt to creamed mixture alternately with milk beating well after each addition.
    For each cookie, shape dough around a cherry to form a ball.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 350\u00b0 12 - 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
    Dip cookie tops in glaze.
    Makes 2 dozen.
