Yum Yum Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large peaches, quartered
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Put first 3 ingredients in a buttered dish on top of stove. Let set 5 minutes to make a syrup.
    Mix next 6 ingredients to make a batter.
    Pour over fruit.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 in 8 x 8-inch pan for about 40 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
