Favorite Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Soften shortening by stirring.
    Sift dry ingredients into shortening.
    Add 2/3 cup milk; mix until flour is dampened.
    Beat vigorously 2 minutes.
    Add remaining milk, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes more.
    Bake in paper-lined 9 x 12-inch pan for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
