Butterscotch Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar (white)
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter (not margarine)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place sugar, corn syrup and water in 2-quart saucepan.
    Cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Insert candy thermometer and cook without stirring to 265\u00b0.
    Add butter (be sure not to use margarine) and continue cooking to 290\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto greased (butter is best) cookie sheet (make cookies about the size of a quarter).
    When cool, remove from pan and store in airtight container.
