Kracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped corn
    1/2 c. pecans or roasted peanuts
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place popcorn and nuts in a greased jellyroll pan.
    Melt butter and sugar with syrup and salt.
    Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
    Do not stir.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in soda and vanilla.
    Pour mixture over popcorn.
    Stir until coated.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes, stirring often after 15 minutes.
    Cool and break.
    Store in airtight container.
