Spudnuts(Doughnuts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. plus 1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 c. milk
    3 small or 2 large eggs
    1/2 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed potatoes (no cream)
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    flour (enough to make thick dough)
Preparation
    Mix yeast in warm water.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Let rise.
    Roll out on floured surface.
    Cut with doughnut cutter and fry.
