Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. oil
2 eggs, well beaten
3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts
powdered sugar
8 eggs, separated
2 3/4 c. sugar
1 lb. softened butter or margarine
8 Tbsp. coffee cream
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 1/2 c. well sifted flour (cake flour is best)
Preparation

Beat whites of eggs until stiff; add 6 tablespoons of the measured sugar and continue beating until sugar is dissolved.
Put whites in refrigerator until balance of cake is mixed.
Cream butter until soft.
Add sugar a little at a time until well creamed.
Then add 2 of the yellows at a time, beating well after each addition.
