Cherry Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
3 Tbsp. melted shortening
3/4 c. chopped cherries (fresh or canned)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients and sift.
Combine eggs, milk, cherries and shortening.
Add to flour mixture, stirring only until mixed. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 20 to 30 minutes, according to size of muffin.
Yield:
1 dozen medium sized muffins.
