Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 large egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, syrup, water and salt.
    Over medium heat, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
    Boil gently without stirring to 265\u00b0 on candy thermometer (or hard ball stage).
    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
    Add vanilla, beating constantly.
    Pour hot syrup in
    a fine stream over egg whites. Continue beating until mixture begins to lose its gloss.
    Stir in nuts.
    Turn into a buttered 8-inch square pan and spread evenly.
