Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
pinch of salt
1 3/4 c. cold water
2 boxes strawberries
whipping cream or Cool Whip

Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir in cold water.
Cook until mixture is clear, stirring constantly.
While mixture is still hot, stir in jello and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Cool mixture in fridge until it begins to thicken.
