Deirdre'S Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 Tbsp. hot salad oil
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    3 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. pepper
    3/4 tsp. rosemary
    3/4 tsp. chili powder
    3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    2 1/4 c. water
    1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
    1 1/2 c. Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
    1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
Preparation
    Saute onions and garlic in oil until tender.
    Add ground beef and seasonings; stir beef to crumble and cook until beef is lightly browned.
    Add tomato paste and water, mixing well. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
    Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
