Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Place sugar,
    water and syrup in saucepan over low heat until sugar
    is\tdissolved.
    Cook
    until
    candy\tthermometer reaches 252\u00b0.
    Remove
    from
    heat and pour over stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat
    constantly
    until
    mixture
    holds shape and loses its gloss.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Drop from spoon onto waxed paper.
